Your First Cold

When a sick baby wants sleep on you all afternoon, you just do it.  You have your first illness, just a common cold, but still heartbreaking to a parent.  You have a barking cough and a stuffy nose.  We're on day 6 now and I'm pretty sure we're on the upswing, but not in the clear just yet.  At times you are the happy, smiling Kinley we know, but others you are just not yourself and it's clear you don't feel well.  You spent most of this afternoon and evening sleeping on me and I was happy to just sit and cuddle with you if that made it even a little more bearable for you.  I hope you start feeling better soon, Peanut.  We love you.
