December 2022

We finished off 2022 with a busy month of fun activities. Aside from the Charlie Brown performance and Christmas, we said goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa and hello to the first snow of the season and made time for all kinds of other fun things in between.

Since they were going to be leaving before the big day, you planned a little birthday party for Grandpa before they headed home.

And we also had a mini Christmas to exchange a few small gifts with them while they were here.

Surprise, surprise, another stuffed cat. You got to take Grandma and Grandpa to Langley for an afternoon to show them all your favorite places so you *may* have had something to do with the selection of this gift.
A neck warmer for me, chocolate covered espresso beans for Dad, and you picked out a wishing stone for Grandma and Grandpa.

With Miss Katie in charge, theater days can turn quite sparkly.
We found out Lydia hadn't watched A Charlie Brown Christmas yet so we invited her over after one of your weekend rehearsals to watch it together.
You were so looking forward to volunteering as an elf for the WCT Santa Social but then ended up sick that day. To make it up to you, I told you we could dress as elves anyway and have a craft day at home.

Time to say "farewell" until next time.

Christmas cookies underway!

Gingerbread houses.
Mini cinnamon rolls for your class potluck.

Crazy hat day.
Washington state geography project.

Cookie decorating.
....and eating.
SNOW!

Secret reading fort.

Ares seems to be enjoying his new toys.
You and Dad bought me a shave ice attachment for my mixer for Christmas so we've been experimenting with yummy shave ice recipes.
Play date with Presley.
Mommy-Daughter day trip to Lynnwood to see Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and visit the mall to spend some of your Christmas money.
And no trip to the mall is complete without pretzels and Jamba Juice.
New Year's Eve family dance party and our very own ball drop.
