Victoria BC 2023

Family vacation to Canada! We have been hoping to plan a pedestrian trip to Canada since last summer and finally did it! We visited Victoria, the capital of British Columbia and loved it!

We started out our day early to catch the early ferry from Coupeville to Port Townsend, then there was an hour's drive to Port Angeles, where our next ferry would depart from. We had a bit of time to waste in Port Angeles so we explored a bit on foot and grabbed something to eat before catching the next ferry.

First chance to use your passport!
On board and ready to go!
So long U.S.
Hello Canada!

Parliament building

Royal BC Museum

Beacon Hill Park

Water taxi! These were super fun to see buzzing about. We opted for the Harbor Tour instead, same boat, different paint scheme.

Dad and I got to see our old friend Sue the t-rex, which we've met before when we lived in Chicago!

Doing my best queen pose here. It seemed to fit well with my shooting back pain.

Double decker bus tour.

We never did make it to a Tim Horton's, so we had to settle for Starbucks instead.
Time to head home. The fog was so thick, they had the front deck completely blocked off to passengers and two workers were at the front of the ferry spotting for boats.
