Birthday Party at Big Heart Ranch

Today we went to a birthday party for a friend from school held at Big Heart Ranch.  We were touched to receive the invite from Jade, who is from the older class at school and was turning 5!  And we were thrilled for the opportunity to visit the ranch.  The ranch is a charitable organization and all the animals are rescued animals.  What a fun day!

I told you that you could choose whatever you wanted when you got your face painted.  Most of the other kids chose butterflies, but not you!  You wanted a red eye.  I love that you choose your own path.  Everyone kept asking what it was the rest of the day.

It's hard to tell what's going on here but you were painting with the horse.  They put paint on the horse's hoof and had you rub it around, then made a hoof print and a hand print on a canvas that we got to bring home.

Then they let the kids paint the horse.  By this time you were so exhausted you were asking to go home so we didn't stay to see how it turned out.  You had a great time though, what a great place!
